The Process

Design

You can schedule an appointment at any Stonemark Tile Design Center (301) 607-9100 ext. 303 or any M&R Floors Design Center (301) 831-0302, located throughout Maryland. You will meet with one on one with a Design Consultant to help you chose the product, color, edge profile, and sink options. You will see more than fifty popular colors at these locations. For a more extensive selection you can visit one of our local distributors where you could expect to see 300 color choices. The exact slabs you pick can be sent directly to us. Make sure to bring any drawings as well as any decorator items that may help in the selection process, such as fabric, tile, or wood samples etc.

Estimate

When all of your selections are complete we can provide you an estimate. Mail us, email us, or drop off your drawings along with your selections and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Template

Once you have agreed to our proposal, and left a 1/3 deposit, we will coordinate with you to take measurements and make a template of the job. This appointment will usually take one and a half hours or less, depending one the size and complexity of the job. We can usually make the template the day of our initial visit, without removing the old countertops. Occasionally it is necessary to remove the countertops before the template can be made.

Fabrication

This is where we shine. You should expect the fabrication to be of the highest industry standards. We have the latest High Tech Equipment capable of producing quality that can not be matched by companies that do their fabrication by hand. We install a metal rod at every sink, to give it additional strength. We use CNC machines for perfect edge detail and polish. We even run all backsplash pieces through a Fastback Edge Machine for a beautifully polished edge. Once the fabrication is complete we will contact you to schedule the installation, usually within ten days from the template date.

Installation

Prior to the day of installation you should remove all items from your cabinetry, and provide clear travel lane from the parking area to the installation area. Installation times vary depending on the size and complexity of the job, but are usually between 2 to 5 hours. You should expect M R Stone to leave behind a stunning countertop with beautiful edges and seams, not a mess. Our services don’t end after the installation either, our friendly customer service staff is available to help with any questions or issues you may encounter.
